Here, we're showing you why it's perfect for making juicy, crispy-crusted meatballs. --- In my daily life, meatballs are the sixth essential food group. Brown Butter Chicken & Other Recipes That Inspire Ina Garten

Image
Ina Garten's 12th cookbook, Modern Comfort Food, comes out in less than one week, and to say we're giddy about it would be an enormous understatement. It's full of flavor-forward, feel-good food (think: tuna melts, beef stew, truffled mac and cheese), which, considering the year thus far, is exactly what all of us need right now. In the excerpt below, Ina talks about how she stays inspired. Also included: three must-make recipes from the book—the only question is, which will you make first? --- People ask me all the time how I get inspired. The truth is, after writing twelve cookbooks, it’s not always easy to think of new ideas, so I look for inspiration everywhere. A dish I order in a restaurant or specialty food store might intrigue me. I love to cruise grocery stores and farmers’ markets looking for new ingredients like shishito peppers, fig spread, or truffle butter. In the past few years, social media has also become one of my biggest sources of inspiration; it’s not

Homemade Egg Rolls {In the Air Fryer!}

Image
Egg rolls are stuffed with pork, veggies, and lots of flavor. Fill, wrap and cook! Skip the deep fryer, these bake up crisp and delicious in the air fryer with a fraction of the fat! What is an Air Fryer? An air fryer is a countertop appliance that is so easy to use! (I have this air fryer and use it pretty much every day). Air fryers cook by circulating hot air around the food, kind of like a convection oven to the max! They have a variety of settings to produce varying levels of crispness without lots of fat. The air fryer makes these homemade egg rolls turn out perfectly crispy – just like this deep-fried version only with far less oil! How to Make Air Fryer Egg Rolls It’s easy to make your own egg rolls at home! Because the egg rolls crisp up quickly, the meat should be pre-cooked as it won’t have time to cook through in the air fryer. Cook ground pork with garlic and ginger until no pink remains (per recipe below). Add coleslaw mix (or cabbage) and cook until tender

Flax seeds idli podi recipe

Image
Flax seeds idli podi is the best way to consume flax seeds in south Indian way. Also you can easily finish off your stock. I had some flax seeds sitting in my pantry other than some ground flax. So for long time wanted to try something with it. That’s when my sister in law told me she adds flax in small portions to sneak into her idli podi. I was postponing grinding idli podi for long and was going to grind it anyway. Was working on another post, but it seemed like I could not post yesterday, so suddenly changed my plans and thought of posting this. Yet could not post on time Coming to this idli podi, since I am posting this as flax seeds idli podi, I adapted the recipe from here and made it with more flax seeds. I found the serving size to be more. This could last me for atleast 4 months Also the flax seed’s flavour is making the idli podi totally different from the regular one. You can add flax seeds in smaller ratio to your regular idli podi or something with dhaniya like i
